New Years Resolution

2010 is gone and 2011 is facing us now. Wow, I can't believe that this year is gone already, and truthfully, I've wasted so much time. "One minute being mad is 60 seconds lost of happiness." I've heard this quote before, but I'm not sure if that's how it goes, but I think it's something like that. I think this is a great quote...Hm, that's something to add to my resolution. I have a few resolutions that I would like to share with everyone, maybe these might help make yours! The reason why I'm putting this up, is to actually keep track of it. I feel like if I write it down, then I'll remember it, and I feel that whatever I post on here is the truth; so this helps me to stay true and be myself. Well! Let's get started!

1. Have a better attitude; I've had a bad temper sometimes, and I know that that makes others around me unhappy too. So now, I'll think things first, thinking doesn't that that long!
2. Stop buying unnecessary things/Don't go shopping so much; I feel that this year I've spent a lot of money on things. I tell myself after not to buy anything else, but I end up doing it. So hopefully, I can save more money this year, and think twice about bigger purchases.
3. Take better care of myself; I sometimes forget to wash my face or something before I sleep cause I'm so tired, hopefully I can go to bed cleaner!
4. Have more confidence; Sometimes, I'm afraid to do things and make mistakes. But it's always good to learn from your mistakes and improve yourself! Remember, we all have something special about ourselves!
5. Use up all the products I have; I have so many 'extras' and I just keep on buying! Hopefully I can use up one product before I buy another one.
6. Blog more; I know I don't keep this updated often, but I'll try to blog at least one a week, and if I don't, I'll make up for it later!
7. Get more organized; I don't clean often, but when I do, it takes forever. I don't have time when it's close to finals and all, so I just leave stuff there. I'll clean more often, and keep things better organized.
8. Treasure everything I have; I know we all throw fits about what we want and don't have. But there are others that don't even have food and the necessities in life, so I'll treasure everything I have and reward myself when I'm able to. *Treasure the people I love more.
9. Get in shape; Over the holidays, I've packed on some weight, so my goal will be to get more active and in shape. Hopefully keep at a happy weight that's healthy and makes me happy. (Lose like 5-10 lbs.?) Drink more water and green tea, eat healthier, and stay away from fast food.
10. Time management; I stay up too much getting stuff done and during the day I was doing something else non-related. So I need more sleep! I'll try to get things done faster this year, and don't get so distracted.
11. Don't give up! I will try try try so hard to keep this up, and never give up on anything.

Review: Skinfood "Kiwi Yogurt Mask Wash off"

I think this is the last of all my Skinfood products! Or maybe I have more, but I'll just do this one since I've been meaning to do it for ever now! I never thought of kiwi as being a mask because it's not very typical. But this is definitely surprising, I didn't think much of it until I used it!
Rating: 8.5 out of 10
Skin Type: Any skin type
Me: I've never even thought of kiwi being a skin care product! I got this and my "Papaya Yogurt Mask" at the same time, and I thought the Papaya one would work better, but this actually came out better on my skin! The first time I used this, my skin was dull, and really acne prone, super red, an I was just so sick of it! When I put this on, it was immediately refreshing (cold) and afterward, my skin was a lot better than before. It definitely helped my skin cleansing out my pores, reduced sebum, and gently exfoliates my skin.
How to: After cleansing your face, scoop up small amounts at a time and spread it on your face. After covering your face with a nice layer (not too thin or thick), massage your face so the beads can gently exfoliate your face. After about a minute or two of exfoliating, just let the mask sit for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with water, massaging your face in circular motions, and and just continue the rest of your skin routine!
Price: 150,000 VND ~ $8 USD. Pretty good price I would say! On Yesstyle it is $14, but it's not a big price range, and it's still pretty cheap for this mask that will last you quite a while.
Quality: Great mask, didn't really think much of it at first, but after the first time, it totally changed my looks of it. Great for gentle exfoliating, clearing your pores, and brighten your face. (pretty good product for acne too!)
Smell: Smells super fresh, and lemon-like. It reminds me of jelly!
Texture: It has like a green smoothie consistency, not smooth but with a jelly-like consistency. It has little blue/green beads that exfoliate your face gently.
Packaging: Like most of the Skinfood masks, this comes in a nice plastic jar.
Amount: 100 ml.

Review: Skinfood "Papaya Yogurt Mask Wash-Off"

Rating: 7.5 out of 10
Skin Type: Any
Me: I was looking forward to this mask, but I guess it's just another disappointment. Eh, it's alright. It did moisturize somewhat and help my skin, but it's not the greatest. I don't even think it removed any dead skin off my face. I don't think I'm going to repurchase this mask. I think it's great if its hot out, and this was in the fridge. This would be like an awesome treat to your skin after a hot and harsh day.
How to: After washing your face, apply this to a dry face, and gently massage the mask until some of the blue beads are gone and then leave it on your face for another 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with water, and continue with the rest of your skin routine!
Price: 150,000 VND ~ $8. Yesstyle: $18. Totally worth it, and I'm glad I got it cheaper since this isn't the mask I enjoy a lot.
Quality: The quality is alright, skin is hydrated, but not over hydrated, so that's good. I think this mask would be really good if you have normal skin and after a day of being outside, take this out from the fridge, and it's gonna be like a treatment for your skin.
Smell: Smells like yummy Asian jelly. The smell is amazing!!
Texture: Very liquidy, but not too much so it's easy to apply and massage.
Packaging: Like all the Skinfood masks, it's in a jar. Cute, but I don't think it's the best packaging for this liquidy mask.
Amount: 100 ml.

Review: DERMAdoctor "bodyGUARD" Sunscreen

Going to VN this year meant SUN. I never actually used a sunscreen for my face since some things already have SPF in it. But being in the sun all the time meant extra protection. I went to Sephora to get something for oily skin because I knew that I would sweat a lot, and I wanted my face to stay clear and not droop. This definitely did the job.
Rating: 9 out of 10
Skin Type: All skin types, great for oily.
Me: My first official sunscreen for my face, and it's awesome! It's so light, and not heavy at all. This did not break me out, or make my skin feel heavy. Lightweight, smells fine, and I can just re-apply this whenever I need! I just use it for my face and neck, and since I carried this in my bag, when my body gets way too hot before I could get normal sunscreen, I use this too!
How to: Just after putting on your moisturizer, apply this all over the face. Re-apply after about 2 hours out in the sun. It's definitely light, so I don't mind applying this in the summer!
Price: I got this at Sephora, but I think it was $26. Not bad for such an awesome sunscreen! I do use this only on my face and neck though.
Quality: Best sunscreen, SPF 30 is a great number for SPF because it's not too little, but not overpowering either ^_^ Definitely worth trying, because I don't believe that I ever broke out from using this at all.
Smell: It has a light sunscreen smell, but that doesn't bother me.
Texture: It's like a whipped cream. Wish makes it super light and easy to apply.
Packaging: It's a slim tube that's easy to carry around! It's purple, and the packaging is pretty!
Amount: 120 ml. / 4 oz.

Review: TheBodyShop "Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream"

I love trying out new things, so I decided to pick this up on Black Friday when TheBodyShop was having their sale. I've heard some good things about this, and I was super excited to try this out!
Rating: 8 out of 10
Skin Type: All skin types, not really dry skin.
Me: Illuminating! That word just made me so excited! I first heard about this product from Fuz, and she said it was super illuminating! Well for me, I think it's kind of, but it's not the illuminating that you see shining from your face. I think overtime, this has made my skin better, like skin-tone, protecting, and just a healthier looking skin. It doesn't produce a lot of oil on my skin, so that's good ^_^ For me, I don't think I'm going to repurchase this one quite yet because I still want to try some other things!
How to: After washing and toning your face, apply this on! Day or night. What I usually do in the winter is kinda double up, but in the morning I always wash my face with water, and apply a nice thin layer.
Price: $18.50, but I got mine for $10! Definitely a great price when you wait for a sale. The original price is pretty decent too, and product itself is nice.
Quality: Moisturizing, and a little illuminating. After a while, I really do think it protects your face with the Vitamin E. (Vitamin E is very good for your skin.)
Smell: It smells like vitamins and baby oil! A really nice smell actually, and I don't mind it.
Texture: Soft texture, not too thick or runny. Easy to apply and your skin absorbs it well! It's a pale pink color, with a pearly look for illumination.
Packaging: It's in a jar... not the cleanest thing. But it'll be gone soon!
Amount: 50 ml. / 1.7 fl. oz.

Review: TheBodyShop "Olive Body Butter"

So it's winter, and my skin is extremely dry. My heels started to crack and my hands were way too dry. Well on Black Friday, TheBodyShop was having a special "3 for 30" And usually, this is 20 dollars! It's like 50% off, I also grabbed a few other things that I might post later. And I bought two gift sets for Christmas too! I've heard of body butters, that's they're a lot more moisturizing, and it's so true!
Rating: 8 out of 10
Skin Type: All skin types, normal to dry skin.
Me: Naturally, I have dry skin on my body. A couple years ago when my friend visited me, she had body butter, and she said it was so moisturizing! She had the "Shea Butter" one, which is super moisturizing. Olive is really good for your skin too, and the smell doesn't bother me much. But I think it had too much oil in it, but maybe that's just me.
How to: I think the best time to apply moisturizer is when you get out of a shower and your pores are still open and your skin is moist so the moisturizer applies better. I spend about 5 minutes applying this to all over my body after I shower, and in the morning my skin is so soft!
Price: $20, but I got mine for $10! It was so worth it, just wait for a sale, it's not like your gonna die without this, haha.
Quality: Super moisturizing, but a little oily when you just apply it, but if you let it set, your skin is so smooth! The butter inside is so smooth!
Smell: Not my favorite smell, it's like a subtle smell. It sort of smells like a mix of olives and baby oil. Not the best smell, but it's gone after a few hours.
Texture: Totally smooth, and not sticky at all! The product itself is so buttery, smooths, and absorbs nicely.
Packaging: It's like in this jar, and you just scoop it out, kind of like butter! It gets a little slippery to close after applying it on.
Amount: 200 ml.

Goal: Part of my skincare collection

It's definitely been a while since I've posted something on here. Hopefully I can get more things in for you guys to read. Well, recently this week, I've noticed that I have way to many things! I'm not a makeup collection freak, but I am a skincare freak. Over time, I keep buying and buying without using things up. So I'm gonna share a brief peek of my stuff (not all), and hopefully plan out a plan for my sins. Anyways, let's take a peek!

Masks: The picture on top is a brief collection of my masks. Crazy? Yea. Sheet masks are great for a quick "refresh" of your skin. I usually don't keep a big collection of this if I've found something good that I like. I usually do a mask 1 a week, or every other week depending on what my skin needs.
Plan: Um... It's kind of hard to come up with a plan for masks since each mask has it's own effect. I guess it depends on what my skin is feeling like... But! My goal is to finish one of the cream masks per year, and some other stuff too!
Promise: Not to buy another mask unless it's a sheet mask, and I'm out of sheet masks.

Face Wash: Never thought I had this many! I also have lots of samples too, but I like to use them when I'm traveling or something. Obviously my Origins "Checks and Balance" mask is about to be gone, yay! It's put in order from almost gone to new. I love having at least 2 different cleansers so I can switch off depending on my skin at the time. I would say that the two at the end, and the two in the middle are about the same stuff.
Plan: Hopefully, by the end of the year, I will finish my "Checks and Balance" face wash, then my "Mint Wash", "Q&C Mild Foam Wash" (I love this stuff!), and the "Super Berry Mix" is going to take me a while since I just started.
Promise: Not to buy another face wash until I've finished at least the "Mint Wash".

Serum: I think this was just too much. Even though it's only 3 things, I think serums aren't the things that you "test" around with since it's pretty concentrated. Currently I'm using the "Peach Sake Pore Serum". I really don't like the one in the middle, "Tea Tree Oil Blemish Fade Night Lotion" and the "Plantidote" is alright, but so expensive!
Plan: What I'm doing is switching off between them. I'm almost done with the "Plantidote" one, but since you only use a small amount, it still takes forever to finish.
Promise: Not to buy another serum at all until I've used up everything. If I don't find a good serum that I'm positive about, I'm not going to buy it. I think I can be serum-less for a while.

Toner: This collection isn't that bad, but the Skinfood "Lettuce and Cucumber" one takes forever! As always, I like to keep 2 different types of toners.
Plan: I use both of them equally, but the Skinfood one just takes forever! I think I'll just keep on using it and replace the other one from Origins when it's gone.
Promise: Not to buy another one unless I've finished at least one.

Review: Etude House "Yogurt Peel Cleansing Foam: Super Berry Mix"

Exfoliater and cleansing foam? Awesome! This is like Origin's "Check and Balance" wash, but it's with fruits! It's a good face wash when my skin is just blah. Fruits are just a plus for me too!
Rating: 9 out of 10
Skin Type: All skin types
Me: I love this cleanser! It doesn't dry out my skin and it made my skin a lot better when it started to break out. It's a frothy face wash like the Origin's one just with little seeds that dissolves on to your skin when you clean your face. This yogurt cleansing foam has many varieties such as: nuts, fruits, and black food. I guess it just depends on your skin type and what you need for your skin.
Repurchase: Yes actually; I enjoyed this cleanser quite a bit.
How to: After wetting your face, apply a little bigger than pea-size amount to your fingers. Swirl and massage the cleanser all around your face, or until you don't feel the seeds anymore. Wash off with lukewarm water (splash with cold water if you want) and then continue with your daily routine!
Price: $17. Not a bad price I think! It's fruity and cute! A pretty good cleanser, but I want to try some other ones, so for now I'm not going to repurchase this.
Quality: Good facial cleanser! I wish there were more seeds in this thing! I have noticed that my skin does look a little brighter and has a sort of 'healthy' glow because of the fruit content. Exfoliating-wise; I didn't really notice any exfoliating going on, but if there is, it's like a super light daily one that keeps your skin from going dull.
Smell: It smells really mellow not stawberry-licious like I would have hoped! But that's okie I guess.
Texture: It's like a mousse texture, very frothy, creamy, and it lathers so well! (light pink color) The seeds aren't that hard, and they're soothing to your skin too!
Packaging: Cute pink packaging! Easy squeeze tube bottle.
Amount: 150 ml.

Review: JuJu Cosmetics "Natural JuJu Moisture Aloe Cream"

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted! Everything is so hectic right now, sorry guys! So now it's winter, and that means dry skin. Boooo. Normal moisturizers just aren't doing it these days, and I finally found a really good moisturizer for my skin! It's simply amazing, it's 100% organic, and it's so moisturizing!
Rating: 10 out of 10
Skin Type: All skin types, especially sensitive
Me: Oh how much I love this little jar! I have finally met my perfect moisturizer..for now at least. It's super moisturizing, not oily, does not cause acne, and light! You only need a small amount for your whole face! This thing is my love of all my skincare stuff now ^_^
How to: After washing your face, toner, [serum], apply this. Or just apply it after you wash your face if you don't do all of the above stuff. You only need a small amount, like dip your finger it in once, and that's all you need!
Price: $15 on Yesstyle.com, but I went to this gift shop, and got it for $10. Not much of a difference, but I'm happy about the difference. Even the more expensive price at Yesstyle is worth it because this is probably the cheapest GOOD moisturizer I've ever used. Plus you only need a little bit every time! Totally worth it!
Quality: It's 100% organic aloe vera (super good for you skin). No artificial colors or fragrance, how awesome is that? Your skin will love this think for sure, it makes your skin so soft and moisturizing!
Smell: No fragrance, even better for your skin
Texture: It's between a gel and cream. It's not clear like a gel, but not thick as a cream. Light, your skin absorbs it quickly, and it stays on without drying your skin.
Packaging: Cute jar; simplicity is key!
Amount: 50 g.

Haul: Skinfood 2

I took a big purchase with Skinfood this time since last time was my "trial" buy. Now I'm confident in their products. I think this will last me for years!! I bought: Tomato Whitening Serum, Lettuce & Cucumber Toner, Kiwi Yogurt Mask Wash-off, Papaya Yogurt Mask Wash-off, and the Fresh Ale Pack. I even got two samples: Black Raspberry Cosmetic Set (Toner and Emulsion) and Carrot Gift Set (Toner and Emulsion). Let's start the preview!
Tomato Whitening Serum
"Tomato Whitening Serum: This serum is packed with fresh tomato extracts which contains a variety of natural organic acids, vitamins and minerals to clear and clarify dark skin."
35 ml.
I actually wanted to buy the "Tomato Whitening Spot Serum" for my mom because she wanted to get something for her dark spots on her face, but Tiffany didn't have it, so I got this one. Hopefully my mom will like this! No reviews on this one, sorry ^_^
Kiwi Yogurt Mask Wash off
"SKINFOOD Kiwi Yogurt Mask Wash off: Yogurt mask with extracts of kiwi, tropical fruit rich in vitamin and juice."
"To Use: After cleansing, gently massage over dry face. Leave on your face for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off."
100 ml.
Kiwi, now that's something new! I love kiwi, no doubt, but I've never heard it being used in a mask or skincare product. This should be fun!
Lettuce & Cucumber Toner
"Skin Food Lettuce & Cucumber Toner: This hydro-balancing toner makes your skin clean and clear, and contains vitamin-and mineral-rick lettuce & cucumber extracts."
135 ml.
Toners aren't something that I usually try out, but I've heard some good things about this, so I decided to get it, it wasn't that expensive either. I have started to use this, and it isn't really your normal toner. Usually, the toner that I use is like water, but this has more of a gel type. Hmm, interesting, maybe I'll like this toner? We'll see!
Fresh Aloe Pack
"SKINFOOD Fresh Aloe Pack: A soothing pack with Aloe Extracts, providing moisture and hydration to dry skin."
"To Use: Evenly apply to the face wit circular movements for 30 seconds. Leave it for 5-6 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water."
100 g.
I have used this before, definitely not disappointed with this product. I didn't want to get this product, but I accidentally did, but oh well! It's not a bad product.
My review here
Papaya Yogurt Mask Wash off"SKINFOOD Papaya Yogurt Mask Wash off: Yogurt mask with extracts of papaya, nutritious and moist tropical fruit."
"To Use: After cleansing, gently massage over dry face. Leave on you face for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off."
100 g.
I did want to get this at first, but I wasn't sure of it since I haven't really heard about it. But doing some research, I did decide to get it in my second haul. Papaya, as many of you know, is very good for you skin and is often used in many skin products; it can be used to brighten, clarify, and moisturize your skin. I have used this one once, and so far it's pretty good, and I will do a thorough review on this as soon as I can!

I do love the samples!! They are so cute! I'm not going to use them at home, but use it in travel since they are travel size! I'm excited with my new samples; I need to get rid of my things... I have way too much!

Haul: TheFaceShop and Etude House

I'm excited! I will have my Skinfood one after this, so don't sweat! Ah... My first products from Etude House! I repurchased the full-size Cleansing Wipes because they are amazing!! They even gave me two samples of the 'Hydra Splash BB Cream', hm... I'm excited to try them out! Etude House things are just so cute, so I decided to give their products a shot! Let's get on with the haul descriptions!
Herb Day Cleansing Wipes
"Saturated in the herbal cleansing complex formulated with Botanic extracts and Rosemary extract that purifies the skin, these convenient facial cleansing wipes purify the skin while cleansing it gently"
"Directions: Gently wipe face in light sweeping motion."
70 sheets
I absolutely love these wipes! They are the best wipes I have ever used! These are a little more expensive than your regular wipes. What I do with them is that I cut them in half since I really only use them to clean makeup off when I do wear makeup, or to gently cleanse my face during the day if I'm outside doing activities. Plus, cutting them in half would save a lot of money and it's so hard to get them, so it's precious!
Yogurt Peel Cleansing Foam-Super Berry Mix
"Cleansing foam contains yogurt and fine granules to gently exfoliate, moisturize and tighten complexion. Berry Mix consists of Raspberry & Pomegranate extracts."
"Directions: Wet face and dispense small amount onto hands. Lather and apply foam to face, gently massaging entire area. Wash and rinse thoroughly with warm water."
150 ml.
I'm still so confused if this is a cleanser or an exfoliater! I got this because I have heard some raves about it, but I'm so confused still. I'm not going to use it just yet because my goal is to use some of my products before opening new ones. So this will probably take a long time before a review, sorry ^_^
Aqua Sherbet Lotion
"Aqua Sherbet contains mineral rich glacial water from Alaska and vitamin rich grapefruit water to supply the skin cooling complexion care. Lotion replenishes and restores moisture balance to complexion."
"Directions: Following serum application, use hands to apply lotion to all areas of face and neck."
150 ml.
I was really debating on whether to get this or not, but now I did! I can't wait to use it, hopefully it's going to be a moisturizer. I'm still confused, a moisturizer or a light lotion...
Let's see now!

Review: Skinfood "Peach Sake Pore Serum"

I am finally done with my first haul reviews! Phew! Sorry it took me so long, after this I can start with my second haul! This is the non-mask item that I got... I'm starting to fall in love with Skinfood!
Rating: 9.5 out of 10
Skin Type: All skin types, large pores.
Me: This was another thing that I was really looking forward to. One word. Amazing. I does what's it's suppose to do! Since using this I have felt that my skin is more moisturized, my pores are smaller, and I don't break out so much! I use this after using my toner, and before my moisturizer. I really don't use this everyday because I don't like to pile so many things on my face, but I do use it about 3-5 times a week. I LOVE the smell, I LOVE the packaging, and I just LOVE everything about it! It's light and it has like a tiny tiny hint of shimmer in it. This was my first product from the Peach Sake line, and I am pretty confident on trying the other products from this line!
How to: After washing your face, put this on after your toner. You only need to use like a small pea size about for your whole face. Remember your not drenching your face with this, it's just suppose to be a thin protective veil. After using this, put on your moisturizer and your ready to go! (I usually put this on at night)
Price: 220,000 VND = 12 dollars. It's like half the price of the prices online. It's totally worth it!!
Quality: It makes my face so smooth and nice! I love this thing! It's obvious that my pore is smaller too! It's not like overnight, but if you use it for maybe a week or two, you'll see the difference. For a cheap price, the thing works!
Smell: Ah...The smell is my favorite part of this! It has a really sweet peach smell with some tartness from the sake. The smell is just amazing...I'm in love with it. It lingers on your skin, so I can't stop smelling myself!!
Texture: It has a really nice and light texture. It comes out as a creamy cream, but it's actually translucent and light. It does has some shimmer into it, you really have to look to notice it. It dries fast, and doesn't leave your skin sticky.
Packaging: It's absolutely adorable! It's in a glass bottle with a plastic cap. The cap is wrapped in a really nice "wood" texture thing. It has a modern vintage feel to it, and it totally matches the product! Peaches has a really cool touch, while the sake gives it a more traditional feeling. ^_^
Amount: 45 ml.
Skinfood: http://skinfood.com/

Review: Skinfood "Rice Mask Wash Off"

My fourth out of the five things I got, I'm almost done! Hopefully you guys understand more about the products. I'm really happy today because I got my second order of things in today! Amazing!! I will probably post the haul picture of the products sometime this week. So exited!! I love the "food" theme, I am absolutely falling for it. ^_^
Rating: 8 out of 10
Skin Type: All skin types
Me: This was like the biggest disappointment!! I mean, it still has a pretty good rating, but the reason why I'm really disappointed is because this mask was the one that I was expecting the most! I've heard lots of raves about it... but I guess it wasn't that miracle mask I thought it was. This is a good moisturizing and brightening mask. I used this at night, and my skin was really soft and "bright". There was a nice glow to it that lasted too! It's not like a heavy moisturizing mask like the Black Sesame Hot Mask, but just enough to keep your skin smooth and nice.
How to: Apply this to a a wet clean face. Massage it for about 30 seconds, and leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. As you wash it off, massage the product off. Dry your face, and continue your daily routine! I wonder how it would feel if i stick this in the fridge...
Price: 191,000 VND = 10 dollars. It's like half the price of the online prices, so it's definitely a plus. It's a pretty good mask, but for myself I wouldn't buy it again.
Quality: This is actually a pretty good mask, it brightens and moisturizes your face! I like it because it's not a heavy moisturizing, just enough for your face to look smooth.
Smell: It has a very nice refreshing smell. I didn't expect this from a rice mask... I smells more "green" than "grainy". It smells like the typical cucumber products, with a hint of sweetness.
Texture: It's foamy and slushy. It's a light texture with small rice grains also good for exfoliating. The foaminess of the mask makes you feel really good about yourself when you have it on...I don't know, I just feel really relaxed and happy when I'm using this.
Packaging: It's rice in a jar! How cute, I absolutely adore Skinfood packaging! I have a feeling this is going to last me a long time!
Amount: 100 g.

Review: Skinfood "Black Sesame Hot Mask"

My third out of the five things I got from Skinfood! I'm almost out of things to do a review on, but I am getting my second haul going since I'm getting another order probably by the end of the month. I'm not getting my favorites again just because I want to try other things first, so the next haul will be with new things!
Rating: 7 out of 10
Skin Type: All skin types, not really oily skin though.
Me: I mean... It's not the best mask I've ever used, but it's a decent mask. I really don't like the texture of it, and how it feels. You really can't tell the difference in your face until the next day or so. It's an okie mask you use when your skin is just tired, or when your stressed out. I do think that the smell of the sesame helps to calm your skin and yourself too. The mask kind of heats up when you put it on, not HOT, but just a warm feeling, like you have a warm towel on your face. It's hard to wash off too, it's so sticky, but does a good job at moisturizing your face and making it look and feel smooth.
How to: After cleansing your face, apply this to a wet face, and spread on a reasonable amount until you've got a nice layer. (Not too thick, and don't have it so thin either or else you can't massage it.) Gently massage it in circular motions for about one minute, and then leave the mask on for like 3-5 minutes. Then, wash off in circular motions with lukewarm water. After your face it clean splash it with cold water to get a refreshing splash since the mask is pretty warm.
Price: 213,000 VND = 12 dollars. As all of the Skinfood masks are pretty cheap, but I really didn't like this one. It's not an expensive price because normally, on the other websites, it would be like $20. It's cheap, but I wouldn't repurchase this for myself.
Quality: Does what's it's suppose to do! Moisturizing, hydrating, and soothing to the skin. Your skin looks so soft after using this!
Smell: It has a very earthy scent to it. You can definitely smell the sesame in it, it smells like burnt sesame. Not overpowering, yet the smell kinda lingers. The smell is pleasant, it really relieves you if you just calmly breath, you can sense a nice toasted sesame smell.
Texture: It's really sticky and droopy. It does not have the best texture, but it's easy to massage; you can feel the little sesame seeds on your face. But the overall texture is just very messy.
Packaging: Good thing it's in a jar so you can slowly scoop it out with your sticky fingers already. I love the cute packaging of Skinfood anyways, so....
Amount: 100 g.

Review: Skinfood "Black Sugar Mask Wash-Off"

Today I saw my blog on Tiffany's website! Awesome, thank you Tiffany! I will try to post everything up as soon as I can so people can get an idea of the product. This will be my second review in my haul, so I hope you guys enjoy it!
Rating: 10 out of 10
Skin Type: All skin types
Me: It's hard to find a good exfoliater that really suits my changing skin. I haven't really found a good one yet, but so far this is the PERFECT one for me. After using this mask, my face is so soft, free of dead skin cells, so nourished, and smooth! Not only did this exfoliate my skin, but also cleansed my pores too by removing all impurities from my skin, leaving it clean and clear. It's not only a exfoliater, but also a mask. 2 in 1! I would TOTALLY repurchase this the next time, it is "da bomb". Make-up will go on smoother after using this too.
How to: After cleansing your face, apply this to a semi wet face (not dripping wet, but have your face wet). Apply an appropriate even layer on your face. **Make sure you have water on your face so it won't be so dry!** Massage in circular motions for a couple of minutes until you think your face is good; it shouldn't be more than 2 minutes. Leave it on for about 15 minutes, and then wash it off. Massage in circular motions again as you wash it off. After all of the product have been washed off, dry your face. And apply your other daily products you use. (I usually use masks at night.)
Price: 191,000 VND = 10 dollars. Awesome price! The other sites I've looked at has been selling them for like 18 dollars, so this is definitely a must for such a great product. Plus, it's the BEST exfoliater I have ever tried.
Quality: Does what's it's suppose to do! Moisturizing, hydrating, and soothing to the skin. Your skin looks so soft after using this!
Smell: It has a really nice smell, not overwhelming at all, just a very subtle smell that leaves your skin with a light fragrant. It smells like a sweet lime smell, I'm guessing the sweetness comes from the black sugar. I like the smell, but it doesn't smell like black sugar. Haha
Texture: It's just like sugar in a jar! It has a very sugary texture, like your putting on sugar on your face. It is very coarse and dry, and hard to take out of the jar. But just remember to put it on a wet face, so it will be easier to massage it.
Packaging: Like all the Skinfood packaging, it is in a little jar. I like it, you get to scoop out as much product as you would like.
Amount: 100 g.

Review: Skinfood "Fresh Aloe Pack"

Yes! My first review from my haul. I'm really excited to do this, and I'm going to put as many up not also for my blog, but also for the Tiffany Store! It's actually where I got all these things, and I am totally ready for my second purchase! So exited, so hopefully my blog posts will give Tiffany's customers some idea of the products, so enjoy!
Rating: 9 out of 10
Skin Type: All skin types, dry skin.
Me: This was the last of the 4 masks that I tried. I have to say, I really like this mask! It provides hydration and moisturizing effects to my skin that is pretty much awesome. My skin felt so soft and nourished after this mask, it's just really amazing! I like everything about this mask! Except, it kind of tingles...? Maybe it's just me; the first time I put the mask on, it had a tight feeling like my skin is really dry. But then, it goes away, so I wasn't too concerned about it. I will repurchase this again, it's an amazing mask!
How to: Apply this mask after washing your face. Take a reasonable scoop out of the jar; just take it out in small amounts at a time and apply it evenly on your face. A pretty thin layer will do, but you also want a layer that will "soak" into your skin. After applying it all over on your face, massage it and really get it into your skin for about 30 seconds. After that, just leave it on for about 5 minutes, and wash it off. While you wash it off, massage your face with water as you rinse it off w/ lukewarm water. **Tip: Splash your face with cold water, to get a tingly sensation, and it will tighten up your pores. It feels really good with this mask!
Price: 212,000 VND = 12 dollars. Awesome price! The other sites I've looked at has been selling them for like 20 dollars, so this is definitely a steal.
Quality: Does what's it's suppose to do! Moisturizing, hydrating, and soothing to the skin. Your skin looks so soft after using this!
Smell: It smells like a fresh aloe smell... Haha. It smells sort of like a a typical cucumber smell with a mix of aloe vera and soap. Not a bad smell at all, quite pleasant.
Texture:It has a slushy texture that feels really good when you massage it on your face. The texture is like an aloe vera smoothie. I think it would be nice if you stick it in the fridge...ooo! That cold sensation!! It's like a light green gel, slushy, an soft texture all put together.
Packaging: The packaging is so cute! Love it, and I don't mind scooping it out because you know when you're about to be out of it, and it's a nice easy scoop.
Amount: 100 g.

Review: Cure "Natural Aqua Gel"

Rating: 9 out of 10
Skin Type: Any
Me: I decided to get this after watching Bubz's Beauty Skin Care Routine because Bubz is such an inspiration to me. She did her skincare routine in this video, and raved about some of the things she used. The CURE product seems really interesting to me because I've been meaning to get a better exfoliater. Well, I ordered it from Yesstyle for $48, yikes! It was a little pricey, but I eventually decided to get it. I really love this thing! It's a really gentle exfoliater that really works. It lasts me for a long time because this is such a good exfoliater, and it's also a really deep one too. I use this pretty sparingly since it's pretty expensive, and use a gentler one when there's nothing special, haha.
How to: After washing and drying your face, apply some of the gel on all over your face. Leave it on for a few seconds so the product has time to work on your skin. Then, gently exfoliate your face in a circular motion; it's going to turn into a white milky liquid with little white things coming off. Guess what? It's your dead skin cells!! That's a plus that you get to see all the bad stuff come off of your skin! Rinse your face with lukewarm water, and your skin will be sooooo smooth and radiant.
Price: $48 It's pretty pricey, but I think it's an awesome exfoliater, but I wish it was less, however, it does lasts you a long time.
Quality: It does such a good job at exfoliating, extremely gentle, yet removes the dead skin on your face to reveal a smoother skin.
Smell: It has a pleasant smell of, clean water. The smell doesn't bother me, I think it's similar to "unscented" things.
Texture: It has a clear liquidy consistency, like a liquidy gel. It's easy to smooth on your face.
Packaging: The packaging is simple, but I love it! Simple is the best, and the pump is... unique? Haha... ^_^

Haul: TheFaceShop

I also visited TheFaceShop. It's a Korean brand of cosmetics, but its quite expensive though. I think it's more of a high end brand endorsed by Song Hye Kyo and all... Anyways! It was nice to go in there and explore. I did decide to buy some things when I left. I bought a total of 5 things, and I even received a gift bag for putting makeup and brushes! I bought: Pure Water Facial Mist-Jeju Flower, Herb Day Cleansing Wipes, Quick & Clean Blemish Balm (BB Cream), and 2 Quick & Clean Mild Foam Wash. So let's do a quick over view of the products, shall we?

Pure Facial Mist-Jeju Flower
"Flowers from Jeju Island to soothe your skin: Formulated with the pristine waters and flower extracts of beautiful Jeju Island, this pure water facial mist helps soothe and calms inflamed skin."
"DIRECTIONS: Use daily, after washing face and whenever a burst of energizing refreshment is desired. Holding the bottle away from your face, close your eyes and mist from forehead to neck in a smooth sweeping motion and let dry. This pure water facial mist can be applied over make up or onto bare skin."
70 ml/2.36 fl. oz.

I actually bought this for my mom because she said she needed a facial spray in the morning to "energize" her skin and to awaken her. Well, hopefully she'll like this. It's a little small though and a little pricey. It comes in 3 different scents: Orange, Marine, and Flower. It smells really nice! A light floral refreshing smell that lingers without causing a headache. I might borrow it from my mom once in a while to test it out and I might do a review on it if I decide to. Hope she likes this!
Herb Day Cleansing Wipes
"Saturated in the herbal cleansing complex formulated with Botanic extracts and Rosemary extracts that purifies the skin, these convenient facial cleansing wipes purify the skin while cleansing it gently."
"DIRECTIONS: Gently wipe face in light sweeping motion, from the center of the face outward."
20 or 70 sheets

I've been meaning to get facial wipes for a long time. The previous ones that I had were too harsh for my skin, so it made me break out and all. Hopefully these will be gentle! They smell really refreshing, fresh, and with a touch of fresh herbs. I think this will be convenient to have everywhere I go when I sweat a lot, especially during the summer! I'll do a review on this once I've decided what to say about it.
Quick & Clean Blemish Balm (BB Cream)
"Formulated with our enhanced Quick'n Clear Complex and Malt extract, this oil-free protective moisturizer soothes the skin while providing natural coverage to hide flaws."
"DIRECTIONS: After your usual daily skincare routine, smooth a small amount over entire face."
35 ml/1.18 fl. oz.
So I bought this BB cream from the line "Quick & Clean"; the "(acne) trouble-minimizing line" from TheFaceShop. Hopefully this will be a good BB cream for my skin because I've tried some, but there's something about them that I didn't like. Hopefully this will be what I'm looking for. It has a really clean, nice, and zesty smell, so it's a plus that it doesn't smell like makeup. However, this does not have SPF... I guess that's for the oil-free part. I don't wear makeup, so it's rare that I'll use this. I usually where light makeup when there is a special occasion or something. Yay for au natural light makeup! I'll definitely be looking forward to using this.
Quick & Clean Mild Foam Wash
"This refreshing wash formulated with Tea Tree Oil, Lemon Oil, and Chamomile Extract gently washes away debris, makeup and excess sebum while comforting skin exhausted by the elements. Leaves skin feeling fresh and clean with the revitalizing fragrance of Tea Tree."
"DIRECTIONS: Mix a fair amount in palms with a little water and work into a rich later gently massage over face and rinse thoroughly."145 ml/4.9 fl. oz.

I have so many face washes already, but the lady said this was really good for acne. I'm not really crazy about the liquidy gel-like face washes because... well, I've never liked them. Hopefully this will changed my mind about them and cure my acne. It smells so refreshing.. kind of like citrus zest or something. I'll definitely be doing a review for this later.

I did get a free bag to put my stuff and brushes in! It's a really convenient bag with a big compartment to put make-up in, places to put your brush, not too big not too small, and a nice handle too!

Location: Just about anywhere in Vietnam. (In the big shopping malls)

Haul: Skinfood

Hello there! I'm finally back from Vietnam! And of course... I went shopping. I bought lots and lots of things because they were really cheap! It was hard to find Skinfood there, but I eventually did it. I was so happy when I got these things! Hopefully they will work on my skin so I can get more later. Well enough chitty chatting, here are the things I got from Skinfood:I purchased a total of 5 items: Fresh Aloe Vera Pack, Black Sesame Hot Mask, Rice Mask Wash-off, Black Sugar Mask Wash-off, and the Peach Sake Pore Serum. The lady was really nice, and she even gave me 3 samples! She gave me the: Agave Cactus Cream (light), Salmon Brightening Eye Cream, and the Green Tea Milk Cleansing Foam (fresh). I can't wait to try these!
Fresh Aloe Pack:"SKINFOOD Fresh Aloe Pack: A soothing pack with Aloe Extracts, providing moisture and hydration to dry skin."
"
To use: Evenly apply to the face with circular movements for 30 seconds. Leave it for 5-6 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water."

100 g
I haven't been able to use this yet, but once I have, I'll definitely do a review on this. It has a very fresh smell... kind of like a cucumber face wash smell. It has a slushy consistency and kinda sticky too.
Black Sesame Hot Mask:"SKINFOOD Black Sesame Hot Mask: Warm heat mask with salt and sugar powder to deep cleanse wastes in rough skin with accumulated keratin and with nutritious black sesame powder to make smooth skin."
"
To use: Apply an appropriate amount to moist face after washing, particularly to areas rich in keratin. Avoid an eye area and massage in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water after 3-5 minutes."

100 g
This mask seems really cool that it heats up to cleanse your pores... hmm. It's a really messy mask, with a really earthy smell and a touch of black sesame.
Rice Mask Wash-off:
"SKINFOOD Rice Mask Wash off: Mask with nutritious rice extracts for soft skin texture." "To use: After cleansing, gently massage over dry face. Avoid eye area. Rinse off."
100 g
I've heard a lot of good things about this mask, so I think it should be a hit. It has a really clean ricey smell to it.
Black Sugar Mask Wash-off:"SKINFOOD Black Sugar Mask Wash off: Black sugar mask with rich minerals and vitamin to provide luster and smoothness to skin."
"
To use: After cleansing, gently massage over wet face. Avoid eye area. Rinse off."
100 g

I think this is more like an exfoliater with the sugar. It has a sweet citrus smell... black sugar?? Hopefully this will be a good exfoliater for my skin because I still haven't found one that matches my skin.
Peach Sake Pore Serum:"SKINFOOD Peach Sake Pore Serum (for pore care): Soft serum with 'sake', traditional Japanese wine brewed with rigidly selected rice, and 'peach' extracts rich in vitamin A and C to remove greasiness due to enlarged pores and excessive sebum."
45 ml
If you have enlarged pores, than more dirt will be caught in those pores, causing acne and breakouts. With this serum, your pores will become smaller, so your acne problems will hopefully become better. Yay for peach! It has a really really really nice peach and sake smell that's just like heaven!

Wishlist: Fujifilm Instax Mini Camera

Hello from...Vietnam! Haha, its been a long time since I've posted something. ^_^ Recently, I've seen quite a few articles about this cute little camera! Not only is it fashionable, but it's so cute!! Ah, I want this for highschool myself... I think it would be super cute to have a scrapbook of memories in highschool using this camera. Aww, the pictures would so cute with this camera! However, it's kind of a pain taking one of these around with you... I don't know, but I think taking pictures with this camera would be so much fun, and the pictures would be "instant"; keeping the memories of that moment... I need to start saving for this camera now.
Did I mention? This camera looks familiar...

Why... It's from the Korean drama "You're Beautiful"
Ah... It's so cute! This makes it so much cuter...
Lots of SNSD girls use this too!

(As seen on their review on Fujifilm's Instax Mini Pink Polaroid Camera)
This is getting too tempting! Kawaii ^_^

Review: Origins "Drink Up" Mask

Rating: 8 out of 10
Skin Type: Dry, Combination, or Normal.
Me: This is such a good moisturizing mask! It's really good when your skin needs a little more moisture when it's dry, especially during the winter months. I don't use this mask as often because I have combination skin, so it's not really dry. When I do use it, it leaves my skin very soft, moisturized, and just drenched with happiness.
How to: After washing and drying your face, apply this mask on. Be careful when you squeeze it out, it's a little runny. Apply an even layer on your face, and then wash it off after about 10-15 mintues. After the mask, you can apply a toner and moisturizer.
Price: $21 I would say it's a very good price because I don't use it often, and so it's pretty cheap for a mask that deeply moisturizes your face.
Quality: It really does its job as a moisturizing mask. When your skin just feels dull or dry, put this on, and it's instantly refreshed and moisturized. (There's also "Drink Up Intensive" for really dry skin.)
Smell: This is the best smelling mask ever! It has a light springy smell, a mix of lychee, sweetness, and freshness. I love love love it's smell!
Texture: It has a clear liquidy consistency. Kinda translucent in a way, and when you put it on your skin, it's like a sweet milky veil.
Packaging: It's a great tube for it's liquidy consistency.
Amount: 3.4 fl. oz./100 ml

Review: Origins "Out of Trouble" Mask

Rating: 9 out of 10
Skin Type: All Skin Types
Me: This was my very first mask at Origins. I really really loved it. It's a gentle mask that really does its work. I use this when my skin is having trouble, like during my TOM... It clears up my skin, and it's visible too. Amazing mask! It just takes out all the impurities out of my skin, leaving it fresh and clean.
How to: Apply this mask after washing and drying your face. Squeeze out a reasonable amount and spread it on your face section by section. Apply a thin layer on your face and a thicker layer on your trouble areas. After about 15 minutes, wash the mask off with lukewarm water; since the mask is a little hard to take off, you can also use a sponge to wash it off. After the mask, you can use a toner and moisturizer.
Price: $21 Not bad, mine lasted me for about 4 months, depending on how often I use it.
Quality: A great mask! It's a really good mask for a good price too, really worth the buy.
Smell: It smells really nice! It has a light scent, like a refreshing citrus mint smell. I honestly love the smell, it's so nice and light, it feels really cool too.
Texture: The mask has a mousse like texture. But once you spread it on, it spreads like a cream. Once it's on your face, the mint just blows you off, your skin feels so cool and really good too. It doesn't completely dry out in 10 minutes, and it's a little hard to wash off too because it's like washing off lotion off your face.
Packaging: The tube makes it easily accessible, but it's kinda hard to squeeze out towards the end.
Amount: 3.4 fl. oz./100 ml
Origins: http://www.origins.com/templates/products/sp_nonshaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY5812&PRODUCT_ID=PROD52

Review: Origins "Clear Improvement" Mask

Rating: 9 out of 10
Skin Type: All skin types or acne prone skin
Me: I really really love this mask! It really does what it says; literally, my skin feels so good after this. A real CLEAR IMPROVEMENT. It clears up my skin when I need it to clear up, and renews my dull skin. At first I was like... it's gray, yuck. But it sucks out all the pollution and things that clog my pores up, leaving my skin feeling new and clean.
How to: Apply this after washing your face and drying it. Squeeze out a reasonable amount and apply it on your face section by section. Make sure to cover your face with a reasonably thin layer, and a thicker layer on your more troubled areas. Wait about 10-15 minutes or until it's dry; you can feel it dry when you can move your face. Wash it off with lukewarm water; it's a little hard to wash off, so you can use a sponge if you like. After the mask, you can apply a toner and moisturizer.
Price: $21 Really not a bad price for such a great product. 1 tube lasts me for like 6 months cause I use it like 1-3 times a month, and not a lot either.
Quality: It's a really good mask that I can depend on when my skin is having issues.
Smell: Hmm... Not a really great smell, but not an unpleasant smell either. It's a Charcoal mask, so I guess it smells.. dull, dark, and bitter? Haha, I really don't know how to explain it, but I don't mine the smell at all.
Texture: It has a thick cream consistency that won't run but is easily spreadable. You really just need a thin layer on your face, and a thicker layer on trouble spots, like on T-zones or where you have trouble on your face. Basically, just spread it on your face, let it dry, and wash it off. It takes like 10 minutes for it to dry, but you'll know, cause it's gonna hurt when you try to move your face. It's hard to wash it off, so using a facial sponge or brush would be easier and better.
Packaging: Smart packaging, something that is easily accessible; however, it's hard when you get towards the end of the tube.
Amount: 3.4 fl. oz./100 ml
Origins: http://www.origins.com/templates/products/sp_nonshaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY5812&PRODUCT_ID=PROD5689

Review: Aveeno "Clear Complexion" Daily Cleansing Pads

Rating: 8 out of 10
Skin Type: All Skin Types
Me: I really really love this! I usually don't get cleansing pads, but because I started going to the gym, this got really handy. Not only is it handy, but it's an awesome cleanser! It deep cleanses, but really gently, so it's not harsh to my skin. Really does cure my acne, but it sometimes leaves my skin feeling a little tight and dry.
How to: Wet your face, and take one of the pads (using the textured side), and gently cleanse your face in a circular motion. (You can feel the texture of pad on your skin.) While washing off the cleanser from the pad, use the other side of the pad (plain side) and gently go over your face again as your washing it off, and then thoroughly wash your face. After washing your face, apply your toner and moisturizer.
Price: $7 This may be a drugstore brand, but it's honestly one of the best cleansers I've used. Totally worth the buy.
Quality: Such a great cleanser at a low price! It's really something that I love at such a great price. It's a great quality, and it's gentle because of the natural ingredients.
Smell: It smells fresh, like a cucumber soapy smell. It's a refreshing smell that I really don't mind at all.
Texture: The pad has two textures, one side is just a normal plain one, and the other has more definition. The two textures are great. When I feel that my skin needs some extra help, I would use the textured side to exfoliate and deep cleanse. When my skin is tired, and sensitive, I would use the plain side of it. All you really do is rub the pad in circular motion on wet skin and it gets pretty soapy, and I like that; it feels like my skin is getting renewed.
Packaging: Hmm... I guess the container is a little bulky.. Wish it was smaller so it's more convenient, but then again the pads are pretty big as well.
Amount: 25 Self-Foaming, Dual-Textured Pads
Aveeno: http://www.aveeno.com/facialcare/clear-complexion-cleansing-pads
